And since LLMs are especially good at exploiting human perception post-alignment, who knows—maybe the model isn’t understanding the world at all, but just memorizing answers to “Which is bigger, 3.9 or 3.11?” or “Should I drive or walk 50m to the car wash?” Everyone’s stuck in endless debates about what LLMs are, how they’ll impact industries, and where humanity is headed—without any conclusion.
